Plugin setup and support

For help, email caleb@mrpaidsocial.com. Include the plugin name, version, operating system and the step that failed. Remove API keys, access tokens and customer information from screenshots and logs.

Public directory release is still being prepared. A public install link will be added to the plugin overview after approval and publication.

Set up a desktop package

1. Install the package through a compatible desktop plugin host and enable it in a local chat.
2. Python 3.10 or newer must be available as python3. If the connection reports that runtime setup is required, run the command it gives you: python3 followed by the installed package's scripts/setup_runtime.py path. This creates a separate runtime and downloads the pinned dependencies. Reconnect, then ask the plugin to run its setup check.
3. For video work or Static Ad Studio image processing, install FFmpeg and FFprobe and make them available to the desktop host. Setup reports whether it can find them.
4. Start with a small local file or sample data. Review the output and its source references before using a client project.

The current test environment is macOS. Windows and Linux compatibility have not been verified. The desktop package does not run in a browser-only chat.

Connect image generation

Static Ad Studio uses KIE. Configure KIE_API_KEY in the environment used by the plugin process. Keep the key out of chat, screenshots, project files and the plugin ZIP. The package does not automatically read a .env file.

Reference images need public HTTPS URLs that KIE can fetch. This package does not upload local photos or host them for you. Use an image you have permission to share and a hosting service you control; a local file path alone will not work for generation.

Use your own KIE account. Before a generation, review the output count, model and current provider price. The approval checks your supplied estimate; KIE does not enforce a spending ceiling through this API request. Provider charges are separate from your ChatGPT plan. If a request has an unknown outcome, keep the saved job ID and reconcile it before retrying.

Connect paused Meta ad creation

Campaign Builder needs MPS_META_ACCESS_TOKEN, MPS_META_API_VERSION, MPS_META_AD_ACCOUNT_ID and MPS_META_TENANT in the plugin process environment. MPS_META_TENANT must match the local store tenant, which defaults to local. Set MPS_META_ENABLE_WRITES=true only when you intend to create paused ads.

Use a token authorized for the selected ad account and an explicit Graph API version supported by that account. Review the existing ad set and creative IDs, exact ad count and copy before approving the build. The plugin creates ads with PAUSED status. It has no activation or budget-change operation.

Find and remove local data

The health check reports the active data directory. By default, records and copied media are stored in ~/.local/share/mrpaidsocial/plugins. MPS_DATA_DIR can set a different directory. The seven plugins share that store.

To reset it, export anything you need, close the plugin processes and remove the reported data directory using your file manager. This removes the local records, copied assets and generated artifacts for all plugins using that directory. Original files outside it remain where you saved them. Remove exported copies separately.

Uninstalling a plugin does not automatically delete the shared store. Deleting local data does not cancel a provider job or delete data already sent to KIE, Meta or your chat host. Use those services' account controls for their copies.

When an output stops

• A missing connection can still allow a local plan or brief. A plan is not a completed generation or a created ad.
• An unknown provider result needs reconciliation with the saved task ID. Repeated submission can create duplicate charges.
• A video cut may be held when the requested boundary or source format cannot be preserved. The editor reports the constraint.
• AI Creative Studio needs the actual returned files and their production receipts. A storyboard or a handoff is not a rendered video.
• A Publisher ZIP is a delivery file. Check the destination platform separately to confirm an upload or post.
